It’s been really good to get back into a writing and posting routine these last several weeks. It hasn’t been an easy year, but I’m grateful to be in a pretty good place again these days. Summer break has begun, and we have plans to be hosting visitors and traveling throughout the next while, so I’m going to be pausing my writing in this space again for now.
I had written down the moths of July and August as the seasons of goodness and joy. I liked this reminder from Romans 14 about both. The context is not causing one another to stumble as believers. We should use wisdom in our communicating with one another about our interpretations of what is right and wrong and ultimately good:
For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too. So then, let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up. (v. 17-19)
Hope you all have a wonderful summer. Until next time…
So glad you are taking time for self although I will miss your daily and varied writings; it's like a unboxing a present every day. Have a great summer!
